Research Support Section

The AFRIMS Research Support Section is responsible for providing administrative support to the AFRIMS scientists on matters related to:

-  Research Support is responsible for providing an administrative support on matters related to Scientific Review of Human Subjects Research, Management of the protocol life cycle, Clearance of AFRIMS Publication, maintenance of AFRIMS protocols databases and CRADA, MTA, MOA, MOU, LOI tracking Record.

-  Training Coordinator will coordinate the intra and extramural training activities related to military readiness. Coordinates with local and international scientific and academic institutions the training of personnel visiting AFRIMS and manages the AFRIMS master training database.

- Biostatistician is one of AFRIMS’ research team player by applying her public health, mathematical and statistical knowledge to the design of surveys and experiments; the collection, processing, and analysis of data; and the interpretation of the experiment and survey results. The Biostatistician provides expert advice on sampling, randomization, sample sizes determination and training on statistical software.

       The AFRIMS Research Support Section is directed by the Deputy Commander for Science, COL Arthur E. Brown, with administrative support provided by research support staff.
