Department of Immunology and Medicine

Mission- to protect, project and sustain the military soldier against malaria threats produced by Plasmodium falciparum (Pf) and Plasmodium vivax (Pv). To support this mission through evaluation of new and improved vaccines, prophylactic and therapeutic drugs, rapid diagnostic kits, and the maintenance of a center of excellence focused on basic biology and epidemiology of drug resistant malaria. Secondly to assess emerging febrile diseases along high risk regions of the Thai-Myanmar border and SE Asia.
